Summer Reading Recommendations: Mekal Banyasz

I just finished two books, both of which I found to be insightful on two different topics.

The Center Cannot Hold by Elyn R. Saks – This is one woman’s memoir of her internal and external struggles with mental illness. For me, it was a distinct reminder of why I chose a career in health care.

White Negroes: When Cornrows Were in Vogue...and Other Thoughts on Cultural Appropriation by Lauren Michele Jackson – No matter who you are, or where you find yourself situated within white supremacy, this book is for you.
