Team Applies Lean Six Sigma Tools to Improve Communications

With just two days remaining until the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification Ceremony, check out what this team from the September training cohort has achieved for NEOMED.

Iris Mirelez, assistant director of student diversity in the College of Medicine, is interested in plotting University-wide communication touchpoints with URM students from the Admissions Office's "Offer of Acceptance" through their M1 year. She is hoping that through her efforts, there can be a decrease in duplication and more intentional communications with this population of students.

Many other teams and individuals have been working to implement the concepts and tools offered by the Lean Six Sigma program in a way that creates positive impact on the NEOMED community. To learn more about the projects creating positive change at NEOMED, join us for the Yellow Belt Certification Ceremony from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10.
