Thank You to the NEOMED Library: Medical Librarian Month

October is Medical Librarian Month, and we want to take a moment to say thank you to the people behind the NEOMED Library.
Librarians rarely work in the spotlight, yet their impact reaches across healthcare, research, and education. They help clinicians find trusted evidence, support the research that advances patient care and teach students information literacy skills they will use throughout their careers. They are not simply a support function. They are strategic partners in healthcare, education and research. The library is a space where all students, faculty and staff are welcomed and embraced.
That is certainly true here. Much of the strong research produced at NEOMED is possible because of our library and its staff in the Aneal Mohan Kohli Academic and Information Technology Center. Consider this: nearly 120 College of Medicine students are currently developing systematic reviews with Colleen Duchon and Stephanie Gaskins. That is in addition to the graduate students who reach out to Colleen every day. Few services touch so many learners so directly.
Please join us in thanking the library team: Jennifer Rice, Laura Colwell, Todd Wallwork, Colleen Duchon, Stephanie Gaskins, Robert Kairis, Greg Burlingame, Brook Wyers and Brian Harrell.
As part of the celebration, students will soon receive a short survey about their use of the medical library. Your feedback helps the team keep serving you well, so please take a few minutes to respond.
The NEOMED Library is the center of the University. Thank you for all you do, seen and unseen.
