The 2024 Multicultural Festival recap

On Oct. 9, the 2024 Multicultural Festival took place at NEOMED. The theme of this year's festival was "Building Bridges Across Cultures." Throughout the festival, many student organizations and countries hosted tables that gave more than 100 participants an insight into their own cultures and cuisines. Throughout the festival, there were many performances that included:
Sara Khan performed a poem titled, "Love Letter to Karachi."
The Step and Sway Dance group performed a hustle dance.
Sri Krishna Gayatri Srinivasa performed a Telugu song - Srivalli (from the movie Pushpa).
Anna Luu performed a Chinese Zither – Blooming Flowers.
CV Garcia even performed an impromptu salsa dance.
There was also a multitude of cultural dishes catered that included tostones, vegetarian pakora, chicken satay with peanut sauce, and falafel with tahini sauce.

Toward the end of the festival, two awards were given out: The Community Builder Award and The Walgreens Pharmacy Inclusion Award and Scholarship.
The Community Builder Award was given to Sophie Tayade with runners-up being Henyah Dardir and Margaret Kilbane. The Walgreens Pharmacy Inclusion Award and Scholarship was awarded to Theresa Effa-Boateng with the runners-up being Tailyn Houston and Diego Mendel.
