College of Medicine Welcomes New Team Members

The College of Medicine is pleased to welcome new team members.

Aeriole Conner joins the Dean’s Office as administrative coordinator and will serve as the front desk receptionist in while supporting the activities of the Dean’s office and COM Academic Affairs.

Prior to joining NEOMED, Ms. Conner served over 10 years at the Portage County Public Defender’s Office and the Portage County Clerk of Courts. She has a Bachelor’s in Business in Administration from Kent State University.

Shelley Gordon joins Medical Education as a curriculum data coordinator. In this role, she will support the curriculum data management processes and analyses for the Medical Education team.

Ms. Gordon has many years of high-level administrative and data support experience, and prior to her arrival at NEOMED, spent 12 years at Hiram College. She is a graduate of Hiram College with a BA in Fine Arts and Humanities and is a proud Air Force veteran.

Diane Longstreth, Ph.D., joins Medical Education as director of curriculum operations. In this role, she will provide leadership in the ongoing planning, project management and implementation of the COM curriculum.

Dr. Longstreth’s career includes numerous roles in K-12 curriculum and instruction, with an emphasis on leadership development, improvement processes, and grants management. Most recently, Dr. Longstreth was the Regional Technical Assistance Representative for the Educational Service Center of Lake Erie West. She has also served as a coordinator at the Ohio Department of Education where she led a team in supporting Ohio’s lowest-performing schools through site-based coaching and the administration of Federal school improvement grants. She has a Ph.D. in Education, Curriculum and Instruction from Ohio University.
