The NEOMED Writing Center celebrated its second birthday

On Feb. 26, the NEOMED Writing Center staff welcomed students, staff and faculty to celebrate the Writing Center's second birthday. Individuals were welcomed with cupcakes and urged to write special thank you note cards, commemorating all the help the Writing Center has given many people over the past two years on various writing-related tasks.
The Writing Center helps with writing needs such as CVs and personal statements. The center also reviews abstracts for research conferences and can help guide the process of translating research into posters or other visuals. The Writing Center provides assistance to students on completing a wide variety of applications, including involvement opportunities here at NEOMED. The center can provide suggestions on how to quickly adapt those application essays to then be used for leadership positions within student interest groups at NEOMED. The Writing Center is also available to help with any writing-involved academic assignment or even to help guide students with citations.
The Writing Center has a unique workflow to which any NEOMED student, staff or faculty can submit their writing. Within that workflow, people can choose the timeframe in which they need their document edited by Writing Center staff. Individuals can also set up an appointment in person or through Zoom when they submit their document in addition to the asynchronous editing they will receive in the workflow.
