Specialized Library Guides: Quickly access library resources for courses, featuring librarian-recommended resources and research tips tailored to your subject area.

Health Science Databases: We have 20 plus specialized databases in the health sciences. You'll have a better chance finding scholarly articles for free using the library's online databases, rather than Google.

Assistance when you need it:  From one-on-one instruction, group training, and assistance with interlibrary loans or in-depth help with library resources. You can get in touch with the library staff by visiting the Help Desk, calling, e-mailing or scheduling a consultation.

Kohli Center – Library Mascot Joe Bone-ard:  The library has a mascot—you may have seen him. His name is Joe Bone-ard. Joe was named by a student (now one of our alum!) through a contest the library held in 2011. Joe was named for Joe Bernard, a much-loved member of the Anatomy and Neurobiology Department. Joe Bernard managed the Gross Anatomy lab until his retirement in 2012 after 31 years of service. Every student who walked through NEOMED’s doors since 1981 knew Joe!

OhioLink PartnershipAs a founding member of OhioLink, our library provides free access for faculty, staff and students to the Electronic Journal Center (10,000+ academic journals from top scholarly publishers), Electronic Book Center (100,000+ titles), Research Databases (100+ with linking to articles), Electronic Thesis and Dissertations Center (58,000 from 31 of Ohio’s institutions). In addition, this partnership allows requests of materials from the shared central catalog of 120 member libraries to be sent to NEOMED or an affiliated hospital library.
