Translational Science Week 2026 at NEOMED

Join us Wednesday, Sept. 16, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Liebelt Lecture Hall for a Lunch & Learn with NEOMED alumnus Omer S. Ashruf, M.D. ('25), of Indiana University. He'll share how the Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative (CTSC) of Northern Ohio supports NEOMED students and faculty, and what it takes to build a research career alongside clinical work.
The program will explore:
- Strategies for balancing clinical responsibilities with a successful research career
- Insights and lessons learned from an experienced physican-scientist
- CTSC resources, services and opportunities available to researchers at all career stages
Lunch is provided.
Translational Science Week 2026 celebrates the CTSC's 19th anniversary with webinars, interactive sessions and networking. This year's theme is Champions in Research, honoring those advancing translational science.
