Two students represent NEOMED at American Society of Nephrology 2024 Conference
Adithya Sreenivas and Raghav Shah, both second year students in the College of Medicine, had the opportunity to attend this year’s annual American Society of Nephrology (ASN) conference Oct. 23-26 in San Diego, California. Working alongside their mentor Dr. Rupesh Raina, they had the privilege to present their work in several topics in nephrology.
Adithya Sreenivas presented two research projects titled Burden of Disease and Risk Analysis of Stroke in Adult ICU Dialysis Patients and Incidence and Severity of Extra-Renal Manifestations and outcomes in Pediatric Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome.

Raghav Shah presented his work titled Global Health Burden of Pediatric CKD of Various Etiologies. In addition to their respective poster presentations, both of these students had the opportunity to network with world renowned nephrologists and physician-scientists.
This is what the students had to say about their experience:
Adithya Sreenivas: “Attending ASN was an incredible experience. This was my first conference, and I am very grateful to Dr. Raina to be able present our research and represent our research group on a national level. Special thanks to Sanat Subash and Keval Yerigari for their help with these two research projects. I had an excellent time connecting with many nephrologists from different parts of the world and I am excited to engage in similar experiences in the future.”
Raghav Shah: “ASN was an amazing opportunity! It was an enriching experience where I could learn and exchange insights with faculty and fellow students from all over the world! It was great meeting new people and making wonderful connections, and I look forward to attending and having the opportunity to present at future similar conferences”
Congratulations to these students for representing NEOMED at the national level!
