University of Michigan Professor Will Speak at Health Professions Education Event on Oct. 17

The College of Medicine and College of Pharmacy, in collaboration with the Master Teacher Guild, will host a Celebration of Health Professions Education the afternoon of Monday, Oct. 17. The event will be held in-person, beginning at 12:15 p.m. in the Watanakunakorn Auditorium, as well as via Zoom.

The organizers are excited to welcome guest presenter Larry D. Gruppen, Ph.D., Professor of Learning Health Sciences and Director of the Master of Health Professions Education Program from the University of Michigan Medical School, as the plenary speaker for the event. Dr. Gruppen will present the opening plenary titled An Introduction to Doing Research in Health Professions Education.

Faculty across NEOMED will present their education innovation ideas and projects in a formal presentation session and a poster presentation session.  In addition, a diversity, equity, and inclusion workshop session will be facilitated by Yoleetah Ilodi, M.D., Assistant Dean of Diversity in the College of Medicine.  The event will conclude with college-specific breakout sessions tailored for the College of Medicine and the College of Pharmacy.

All NEOMED faculty and staff are invited to attend the event, whether in-person or via Zoom.
