Today’s Unsung Hero was nominated by Kathleen M. Enoch, the sponsored programs administrator in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, who wrote:
I nominate Rick Minturn in the Department of Campus Operations. Rick in a very familiar face on campus. He can be seen daily delivering and collecting U.S. and campus mail. What strikes me about Rick is how he never fails to have a smile on his face. I don’t believe he has ever delivered mail to any department without greeting the people with a cheerful hello!
Rick regularly goes out of his way when delivering large packages. Instead of leaving the package in the departments mail location, if possible, he will deliver the package directly to the person’s office/cubicle. He often helps find lost packages and many times when employees need different supplies, he goes above and beyond to deliver. Rick is a delight to have in our community!
