Unsung Heroes: Deb Edwards and Tasos Tsikles

Not many students or staff know the work that goes into planning and making the M3 PCC [Prerequisite to the Clinical Curriculum] course run so smoothly, but they do get to experience the end product of that hard work.

Deb Edwards and Tasos Tsikles really put in 120% during the PCC (and for many weeks beforehand) to make the two-week course as beneficial and as information packed as possible. The two-week course features participants from affiliate hospitals, University of Mount Union, internal faculty and NEOMED staff, and contains lectures, lessons and hands-on training for the clerkships.

The information given to students throughout the course is vital to student success in their third year of medical school and without the effort of Deb and Tasos, it wouldn’t be what it is: the stepping stone students need to begin their clerkship rotations at the hospitals.
