Unsung Heroes: Fady Abdlrasul
Third-year pharmacy student Momitul Talukdar shared the following:
I'd like to recognize Dr. Fady Abdlrasul as an Unsung Hero of NEOMED.
Don't let Dr. Abdlrasul's tall stature intimidate you: he has a heart of gold, big smile, bigger sweet tooth and a plethora of corny dad jokes! He truly lives by his motto of students come first. He's a hidden gem at NEOMED's College of Pharmacy. He's one of the reasons why I'm a successful pharmacy student.
As a P1, he taught me how to administer a vaccine, which allowed me to administer hundreds of COVID vaccines. As a P2, he taught me leadership skills through my co-lead role for NEOMED student ambassadors. Helping him organize pharmacy events and giving me the opportunity to meet the future of pharmacy has truly been rewarding. As a P3, he helps me professionally develop myself and my future pharmacy career by introducing me to his network through his faculty advisor role of the American Pharmacy Association.
I flood his inbox with questions on career and life all the time and he promptly responds with his wisdom. He even was able to submit a letter of recommendation on my behalf in 48 hours! I sometimes wonder if he sleeps. On top of being a busy director of pipeline programming and professor, he's an amazing dad to his dog Jake.
