VITALS with Kendalle Cobb, M.D.

Kendalle Cobb, M.D., associate chief of staff, Cleveland Clinic, joins VITALS at noon Thursday, Oct. 5, via Zoom.

Dr. Cobb, who cares for patients of all ages at the Cleveland Clinic Solon Family Health Center, will share her insights on health equity in NEOMED’s monthly thought leader speaker series.

Dr. Cobb serves as a clinical associate professor of family medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine (CCLCM) of Case Western Reserve University, where she was director of diversity and inclusion from 2010 until 2019. She served as a physician advisor from 2006 to 2019 at CCLCM, a role that she resumed in July 2022.

In 2021, she was appointed to her current role in which she focuses on recruitment and retention of physicians, with a specific focus on those traditionally underrepresented in medicine. She also serves on the Diversity, Inclusion and Racial Equity Council (DIREC). Her responsibilities include helping the enterprise to measure patient health disparities.

Dr. Cobb grew up in San Francisco. She graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree in history and earned her medical degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She completed her family medicine residency at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Fontana, California.
