Welcome a first-year student with a White Coat sponsorship

Northeast Ohio Medical University is excited to welcome its newest class of students and invites the community to join in this significant occasion by contributing to the Blue Fund in honor of the White Coat Ceremony.

The White Coat Ceremony is a rite of passage for first-year medicine and pharmacy students signifying their entry into the health care professions. Donning the white coat and reciting the professional oath represents a profound responsibility and privilege. It is the beginning of a journey toward becoming someone who patients will look to for guidance, support, caring and trust in their most vulnerable times. The ceremony is a life-changing experience – a symbol of the transition from student to medical professional. It creates a memorable and joyous occasion for students, their families and the dedicated NEOMED faculty and staff.

As a special gesture of donor support, NEOMED will place a card with the donor’s name into the pocket of a white coat for every $250 contributed. Donors can also include a personal note of encouragement to the student and will be acknowledged in the event program.

You may give securely online to participate in the White Coat Ceremony and welcome a new student to NEOMED.

The Blue Fund supports a wide range of programs including student scholarships, academic programs and initiatives like the White Coat Ceremonies, ensuring a high-quality education and exceptional experience for NEOMED students.
