Welcome these new staff to Academic Affairs and Student Services

The Office of Student Services is excited to welcome these outstanding new staff members to NEOMED! Each of them brings an extraordinary dedication to student success and satisfaction, responsive service and support, and a desire to improve the student experience. Please help me welcome:

Betsy Johnson (above left)
Assistant Director of Student Conduct and Title IX
 

(Start date: Jan. 2)

Betsy is responsible for administrative support of all CAPP functions, student conduct and supporting students regarding concerns of sexual harassment related to Title IX. She brings to NEOMED her professional experiences from The University of Akron and Xavier University and holds a Master of Law Studies degree and a Master of Arts in Higher Education degree, both from UA. Betsy’s office is located in R-138 at x6137.

Administrative Assistant

(Start date: Jan. 8)

Dina is the frontline support and student services lead in Student Services and supports online and in-person orientation, commencement and White Coat ceremonies, and the functions of credentialing, student organizations and activities, conduct, global engagement and the Senior Executive Director. Dina can be reached at x6735 in R-132.


Dr. Kevin Intihar (above, third from left)
Assistant Director of Student Services
 

(Start date: Feb. 1)

Kevin brings his doctorate in higher education leadership from Maryville University and his M.Ed. in Higher Ed administration and student personnel from Kent State University. Kevin will oversee student organizations, campus-wide activities, leadership and service in Student Services and focus on creating a sense of belonging through orientation and activities. Kevin can be reached at x6774 in R-137.


Paula Adams (above, right)
Assistant Director of Credentialing

(Start date: Feb. 2)

Paula is responsible for student credentialing and compliance, site clearances, student insurance enrollment, drug testing and immunization clinics. Paula has her B.A. in Business Administration from Walsh University and has worked with the Stark County Health Department through COVID and vital statistics administration. Her extension is x6888. Her office is in R-135.

Victor Torres – Director of Global Engagement

Victor will continue to provide the highest level of support for students traveling abroad for academic purposes, and support faculty joining NEOMED from abroad with maneuvering the visa processes. Victor’s office is in Library-214 and can be reached at x6184.
