What to do in case of a tornado on campus
Since tornado season is approaching, it’s a good time to be reminded of what actions to take during a tornado. While NEOMED does have shelter areas identified, it’s important to keep it simple, so remember to DUCK!
D – Go DOWN to the lowest level
U – Get UNDER something
C – COVER your head
K – KEEP in shelter until the storm has passed
Suggested shelter areas can be found on the Public Safety page of NEOMED’s intranet in the ‘maps’ section.

Campus-wide tornado drill
NEOMED’s Emergency Management Planning Team will be conducting a campus-wide tornado drill on March 19, 2025, at 8:45 a.m. Participation is highly encouraged as this is a great time to plan where you will seek shelter in the event of a tornado warning while you are on campus.
