We invite all NEOMED students, faculty, staff, and members of the community to join our team for the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. The walk is on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 10 a.m. at Canal Stadium Park in Akron.
Currently, 5.7 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to reach 16 million by 2050. There are still no treatments available that change the course of this devastating disease. As part of NEOMED's research focus area in Neurodegenerative Disease and Aging, the CCrish Neuro Lab team from the Deptartment of Pharmaceutical Sciences will be walking in this event.
