All NEOMED faculty are invited to attend December’s Teaching and Learning Session

This session introduces participants to the theory and practice of live guided question analysis, an empiric approach designed to identify why students answer multiple-choice questions incorrectly.

Participants will explore the cognitive framework that underlies the method, review the limited evidence suggestive of its effectiveness, and discuss its benefits and potential challenges in academic settings. Through demonstration and discussion, the session will illustrate how live guided question analysis can be applied to identify a wide variety of problems that students encounter with multiple choice questions. Faculty will leave with a description of the step-by-step process for conducting live guided question analysis and strategies for integrating it into their own teaching or coaching contexts.
