Anatomy and Neurobiology present, 'A Predictive Internet-Based Model for COVID-19 Hospitalization Census'

Dr. Philip Turk, our new director of clinical research, will present, "A Predictive Internet-Based Model for COVID-19 Hospitalization Census" at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 2, in Olson Auditorium.

He will discuss the development of a new model for the number of COVID-19 patients based on real-time Google search term activity and health care chatbot scores. The talk will be partially retrospective and also show how the model can be a new and valuable tool for infectious disease surveillance.  Dr. Turk is a recent hire at NEOMED with deep expertise in quantitative biomedical data science. He is enthusiastically building clinical partners on and off campus, and this will be his introduction to the NEOMED community.
