Brain Day 5K is July 26 at KSU
The Biology Graduate Student Council and the Brain Health Research Institute at Kent State University are hosting the annual Brain Day 5K on Saturday, July 26! T-shirt sales end on June 30!
This year, we will also host a one-mile walk at 9 a.m. before the 5K for those who want to beat the heat. The one-mile walk is open to walkers, rollers and runners of all ages, including leashed dogs. The 5K will begin at 10 am; however, feel free to check in early! The one-mile and 5K routes will start and end in front of Cunningham Hall.
The Brain Day 5K is open to everyone on and off campus, so make sure to let your friends and family know about this fun way to give back to the community! Any children under 18 will need a parent or guardian present at check-in.
This year's theme is Brain Health for All Ages, and proceeds benefit the KSU Biology Graduate Student Council's Award Fund and the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Greater Cleveland. The NAMI of Greater Cleveland is a local affiliate of NAMI that provides support to those with serious mental illness in northeast Ohio. Their support includes, but is not limited to, support groups, education programs, patient referrals, and advocacy.
