As a leader in nutritional medicine, Jeffrey S. Bland, Ph.D., FACN, CNS, is well known for his synthesis of medical knowledge, biochemistry, and nutritional data. In this free Grand Rounds lecture presented by IFM and the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine, Dr. Bland will discuss Systems Biology and Functional Medicine: An Emergent Approach to Chronic Disease Management. Treating chronic illness and patients with multiple comorbidities requires a systems-based approach, yet treatments must also be tailored to each individual. Dr. Bland will describe why this is necessary, how it can be enacted, and what clinicians can do to implement this type of methodology.
Dr. Bland co-founded The Institute for Functional Medicine in 1991. He is also founder and president of the Personalized Lifestyle Medicine Institute (PLMI). Join us this May 2, either via live stream or by accessing the free recording for 24 hours after the lecture.
