The annual Clinical Skills Competition is approaching quickly!
In the Clinical Skills Competition, teams of two students work on a timed case study in pairs, and then present the case to a panel of judges. Teams compete by demonstrating their skills in assessing patient information and current therapy, identifying and prioritizing drug therapy problems, identifying treatment goals, and formulating a comprehensive pharmacy care plan. A panel of judges then determines the winner of the competition using a standardized set of evaluation criteria. The winning team members will compete in the OSHP semi-finals and the winners at OSHP will receive a complimentary ASHP Midyear meeting registration to compete at the national level competition held virtually this year on Dec.6-10, 2020.
WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 26 at 9 a.m.
WHERE: Zoom
So, who is eligible to compete? All pharmacy students are eligible to compete, however, participants must be members of ASHP and have their yearly dues paid before the date of competition.
P1s and P2s: If you don't feel like you are ready to compete, we are still in need of volunteers to help with monitoring the competitors in breakout rooms and facilitating the competition. This is a great way to become familiar with the process so you can compete next year!
