Dissertation defenses this week

Two Ph.D. candidates in the biomedical sciences partnership program with Kent State University will defend their dissertations at NEOMED in April.

Huimei Wang, who conducts research in the lab of Yong Lu, Ph.D., will defend her doctoral dissertation, titled “The role of mGluR5 in the functional development of a calyceal synapse,” on Tuesday, April 7, at 10 a.m. in F-118.

Dissertation committee members include:

Kristine Croucher, who conducts research in neurosciences, will defend her doctoral dissertation, titled "ATP13A2 Deficiency Alters Polyamine Homeostasis, Mitochondrial Function, and Behavior in Aging Mice," on Wednesday, April 8, at 1 p.m. in F-118.
