Fan of Shark Tank reality TV? See our own Future MedTech Student Pitch Day!
The 2020 cohort of the Burton D. Morgan Future MedTech Entrepreneur Internship offered through the REDIzone business incubator will complete its program with live pitch presentations at NEOMED. An impressive group of 13 students representing some of the best of NEOMED, Cleveland State University, Kent State University, Youngstown State University and the University of Akron have been diligently learning the ropes of medical innovation this summer and will exhibit their knowledge as multi-disciplinary teams pitching NEOMED technology before a review panel comprising our own President Langell and other seasoned innovators in the region. We are excited to have President Langell involved to provide opening remarks and bring his unique experience to the program.
This is the second summer for the program, created and executed by REDIzone Executive Director Elliot Reed, and some of the 2019 FME cohort plan to attend to cheer on this new cohort. While COVID-19 has changed the program format to a virtual one up to this point, the students requested a live Pitch Day at NEOMED to gain the fullest experience. We have attempted to balance that request by offering two attendance options– virtual or live – to be indicated in the RSVP.
If you have an interest in medical innovation, or just want to support your fellow students, please attend! All are welcome.
WHEN: July 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
WHERE: Watanakunakorn Auditorium and Virtual
