Student members of the American Medical Women’s Association will host Girls Go Med Day, a day for high school girls to learn about careers in the medical field on April 21 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. This year, female physician speakers, opportunities to interact with current medical students and hands-on experiences, such as mock patient interviews, blood pressure checks, basic suturing and more will be available to participate in. All participants will receive a certificate of completion, as well as a Girls Go Med Day t-shirt. Lunch will be provided to all participants. For more information about the program or to obtain an application, contact a program coordinator. The application deadline is March 21st.
