MEDCAMP 2021

A group of 50 students from northeast Ohio, entering their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of undergraduate studies will be gathering Thursday, July 8 through Saturday, July 10, 2021, for the MEDCAMP program. Continued through a virtual environment, MEDCAMP is designed to provide “hands-on” experiences in bio-medical science workshops involving research, clinical problem-solving and an introduction to the fields of clinical medicine. Participants join physicians, NEOMED medical students, faculty, and researchers in performing applied activities, where they learn how a physician talks with a patient, how to study the clues to a patient’s illness, to solve medical cases by using critical thinking skills in addition to learning modern laboratory techniques. Participants also complete a case study on a fictitious patient.

If you would like more information about the MEDCAMP program, please contact Rebecca Johnson at rjohnson4@neomed.edu.

MEDCAMP is sponsored by the Area Health Education Center located in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at NEOMED.
