Medical Spanish Workshop, Nov. 27

Join us for an evening taught by our club's very own Medical Spanish Committee! All Spanish language levels and all health professions are welcome! We will also have two guest speakers from the University of Akron and Kent State University to share with us the importance of language access and their Medical Spanish certificate programs.

WHEN: Tuesday, Nov. 27 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
WHERE: Regula Great Hall

At this session, you can expect to learn/master basic conversational Spanish and basic commands to use during the physical exam and while taking patient medical history. Our lesson plan includes teaching from the NEOMED physical exam and patient interview checklists provided to both Colleges of Pharmacy and Medicine students. Time is allotted to practice your Spanish in small groups with individuals that are fluent Spanish speakers. You are encouraged to bring your medical equipment to enhance your learning experience.

A Zoom invite will be provided to those who cannot attend in person.

RSVP today so we can count your attendance in-person or via Zoom.  Free burritos to the first 35 students.
