Mentorship and Navigating the Research Review Process, Sept. 22

Join Julie Aultman, Ph.D., IRB Chair; Natalie Bonfine, Ph.D., IRB Vice Chair; and Bob Larson, M.A., IRB member; for an informative presentation on student initiated projects and mentorship as it applies to human subject research and other non-research projects.

After attending this session, learners will be able to: Understand the meaning of "research", "human subject" and "engagement" as it applies to human subject research. Understand the differences in project types (research, quality improvement, program evaluation) and the review process for each. Apply mentorship roles/ responsibilities to becoming a mentor for students. Understand the role of the Office of Institutional Research in survey creation and distribution.
