NEOMED students, faculty and staff are invited to attend the National Brain Bee Keynote presentation by Eric Kodish, M.D. (’86). Dr. Kodish was part of the team of surgeons that completed the first full-face transplant, in which 100 percent of the patient’s facial tissue was replaced.
Dr. Kodish, who has served as a member and chair of NEOMED’s board of trustees, was honored with the University’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2001. He currently serves as a pediatric hematologist and professor of pediatrics at the Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. He is also the program director for the Cleveland Clinic Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology.
