NEOMED Halloween Festivities, Oct. 31

NEOMED's Halloween festivities will take place Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the NEW Center.

New for 2018!

  1. Submit a pre-carved or pre-painted pumpkin for a chance to win a very spooktacular prize! Pumpkins should arrive in the Watanakunakorn Atrium by 10:15 a.m. October 31. Voting will begin at 10:30 a.m. and end at 12:30 p.m. See examples of pre-carved and/or pre-decorated pumpkins.
  2. This Year’s New Trend is Ugly Halloween Sweaters! Wear your sweater and enter a raffle to win a very spooky prize! To enter the ugly Halloween sweater raffle, stop by the Human Resources table anytime during the Halloween event. As we have done in previous years, students and employees are welcome to dress in costume. One student winner and one employee winner for each activity will be drawn.

In lieu of traditional trick-or-treating, departments can donate bags of candy to Human Resources. The donated candy will be brought to the event for all to enjoy while voting on their favorite pumpkins and showing off their ugly Halloween sweaters or costumes! Please donate candy by October 26.

Please note that events are changed somewhat each year to spike interest and participation for all.

This event is co-sponsored by Human Resources and Student Affairs. Email Toccara Ball in Human Resources at tball@neomed.edu for more information and to register your pumpkin ahead of time.

Also, as part of American Pharmacists Month, another planned Halloween activity is being hosted by NEOMED’s pharmacy groups. They are in need of volunteers to contribute decorated car trunks for an American Pharmacists Month Trunk-or-Treat event for local children. RSVP your car by October 22 to Bethany Misko. Even if you do not participate via decorating the trunk of your car, please join them for a fun night at the Trunk-or Treat which is set to take place on October 29 in the NEW Center parking lot from 4-6 p.m. Just bring a smile and your costume! For more information, contact pharmacy student Bethany Misko at bmisko@neomed.edu.
