PubMed comprises more than 30 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. In January of 2020, PubMed launched an updated interface that will become the default in spring 2020. To ease the transition between two new interfaces, this workshop will explore the similarities and the differences between the old and the new versions, while also providing an overview of how to use PubMed as a powerful search tool for your educational and research needs. Learn how to combine medical subject headings (MeSH terms) and keywords using the database's advanced search features. Also learn how to set up alerts, apply filters, export results to citation managers, and access NEOMED's full-text article holdings directly from PubMed.
WHEN: Friday, Feb. 14 from noon to 1 p.m.
WHERE: Room Read Distance Education Center (RDEC), located on the second floor of Building R, within the Kohli Center.
All NEOMED faculty, staff and students are invited to attend.
