To all NEOMED faculty, staff and students who reside in Greater Akron - or who care at all about the growth and vitality of the Akron area:
Just a reminder to bring your lunch and join me on Oct. 3, 2017 at noon in Cook Alumni Hall to share a brown bag luncheon with Akron-area colleagues as a part of the On the Table Greater Akron initiative. On the Table Greater Akron is a one-of-a-kind initiative where thousands of diverse residents, from all walks of life and socio-economic backgrounds gather to share a meal and discuss meaningful ideas to strengthen the Akron community and the region. It’s an opportunity to further shape our community into a strong, vibrant, safe and dynamic place to live and work.
On the Table Greater Akron is being organized by the Akron Community Foundation with support from the Knight Foundation. The data and perspectives derived from these conversations will help shape the Akron Community Foundation’s proactive community investments. The only string attached is that you will have to sign in and leave your email address so that you can respond to a survey after the event. The email address will only be used for the On the Table email survey.
We live in and contribute to a great region. This is an opportunity for your voices to be heard.
Please see the attached announcement and RSVP to Nona Hose at nhose@neomed.edu. Further information can be found online.
I hope to see you on Oct. 3.
Steve
