Open Access Overview with OhioLink: 'Get Funding to Publish Your Manuscript' on Feb. 25

NEOMED faculty, staff, and students: Did you know you can publish your research for free in open-access journals? Join us for Open Access Overview with OhioLINK: Get Funding to Publish Your Manuscript on Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 11 a.m. to noon on Zoom to learn how you can take advantage of this opportunity.

OhioLINK’s Open Access Publishing Fund covers article processing charges (APCs) for eligible researchers, ensuring your work is freely available to a global audience without financial burden. This session, presented by OhioLink's Associate Director, Licensing and Analytics, Joanna Voss, will provide a detailed overview of the funding process, eligibility requirements, and the benefits of open-access publishing for both individual researchers and the academic community.

By publishing open access, you increase the visibility and impact of your research while supporting a broader culture of knowledge sharing. OhioLINK’s funding makes it possible for NEOMED-affiliated researchers to publish without the high costs typically associated with APCs. This session will also highlight how institutions like NEOMED benefit from increased research accessibility and collaboration.

Colleen Duchon is the point person for OhioLINK’s open access funding at NEOMED and will be available to answer questions about the funding process. Whether you're a faculty member, staff, or student researcher, this session will equip you with the knowledge needed to publish your work for free through OhioLINK’s funding initiative.

Don’t miss this chance to make your research more accessible! Register now to secure your spot. For more information, contact Colleen Duchon at cduchon@neomed.edu or your NEOMED library or Writing Center staff.
