Please join us on Thursday, June 20, for a retirement reception for Rey Notareschi, director of Academic Technology Services, in the atrium of the NEW Center. Come wish him well as we recognize Rey’s many contributions to NEOMED. His leadership and breadth of knowledge in academic technology will be greatly missed.
In his role as director, Rey has overseen NEOMED’s educational technology initiatives and applications throughout the University over the past 22 years. Before coming to NEOMED in 1997, Rey served as the director of media resources at Mercy Health - St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital for 11 years, where he managed all educational technology enterprises that supported patient, staff and health professions education. Having a career in educational technology that spans over 33 years, Rey has presented at national and state educational technology conferences on the use of multimedia in health professions education and ushered in lecture video recording at NEOMED, which has been greatly utilized for study and emergency preparedness. During the last 10 years, Rey also partnered with IT to provide oversight in selection of cutting-edge technologies within the new lecture halls and small study rooms in the new conference center.
