Roundup of Hispanic Heritage Month 2023 events

Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to celebrate the rich and diverse cultures of the Hispanic community. This year, from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, our Latino Medical Student Association will host a variety of events to honor the contributions and culture of Hispanic Americans.


SALSA and SALSA
Friday, September 15 at 6:30-7:30 p.m., Campbell Atrium (space outside Meshel)

The Latino Medical Student Association invites you to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month with Salsa & Salsa Night! We will hold a salsa competition, and if you want to bring your own to compete, please sign up here! We will also be dancing to fun salsa music!

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT WEEK
Monday, September 18 - Friday, September 22  

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Latino Medical Student Association is showcasing a few of the many Hispanic artists that have made their mark on history. Visit the area outside of Watanakunakorn Auditorium at any time to check out a new Hispanic artist highlighted daily. No RSVP required.


LATIN AMERICAN TRAVEL FAIR 
Tuesday, September 26  from noon-1:30 p.m., Watanakunakorn Atrium

Join LMSA and the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by learning about various Latin American countries! There will be food, giveaways and more!


GAME LUNCH HOUR – Dominos!
Friday, October 6 from noon – 1 p.m. – Bitonte Atrium (space outside the Great Hall)

Join LMSA to relax and have a little fun during the lunch hour. We will be playing Dominoes and other games. Don’t know how to play? Don’t worry, we can teach you! Lunch is provided to the first 19 people who register. This is guaranteed to be a good time! Register on Campus Groups.
