Second Language Learning meet-and-greet in the Writing Center
Come meet the SLL Writing Center Specialist Brook Wyers for this co-curricular opportunity from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, in the Writing Center.
Students of all colleges are invited to attend as the Writing Center's SLL (formerly known as ESL) program is developed.
Wyers and Brian Harrell are implementing SLL programming throughout the academic year.
Many students and faculty at NEOMED did not grow up speaking English in their homes through self-identification. The goal of the NEOMED Writing Center is to create a space to support these students and faculty as they navigate the world of Academic English.
Wyers will present a mock SLL workshop to students and faculty, as the NEOMED Writing Center prepares to launch its SLL curriculum and workshop programming next spring.
Free lunch will be provided!
