Second Language Learning to hold meet-and-greet in the NEOMED Writing Center

Meet the SLL Writing Center Specialist Brook Wyers for this co-curricular opportunity from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, in the Writing Center, L202.

Students of all colleges are invited to attend as the NEOMED Writing Center's SLL (formerly known as ESL) program is developed.

Brook and Brian Harrell are implementing SLL programming throughout the academic year. Many students and faculty at NEOMED did not grow up speaking English in their homes through self-identification.

The goal of the NEOMED Writing Center is to create a space to support these students and faculty as they navigate the world of Academic English. During this meet and greet, Brook will be doing a presentation about the upcoming SLL Book Club and will be conducting a short focus group after. Free lunch will also be provided.
