Two Step TB testing is required of all rising M3 students. This means 2 separate TB placement tests at least a week apart and each placement test has to be read 48 to 72 hours later. The first test was done May 3 and the second test is scheduled for May 12.
CLINIC DATES AND TIMES
There is no cost to attend these TB clinics since they are part of your student fee.
• May 12, 2017 – TB Test #2: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in G-204 (hallway between the library and accounting)
• May 15, 2017 – TB Read #2: 10 a.m. to noon in Summa Corporate Health, NEW Center
If you are unable to attend the clinic, you may also get your two step TB testing done through any provider – including your PCP, minute clinic, employee health, etc. Testing outside of the campus clinics will be at your own expense. The deadline to upload your record to ImmunU is July 17, 2017.
If in the past you have had a positive TB test result or you have had the Bacillus Calmette-Guerin(BCG vaccine, you will be required to have other testing in place of the skin test and will be offered the option of the Quantiferon TB blood test at Summa Corporate Health on campus for your convenience. The cost for the Quantiferon blood test is $45 and students that have this test administered are responsible for payment. You may pay by credit card or cash and payment is due at the time of service.
Records must be uploaded to ImmunU by July 17, 2017, regardless of where you had your testing done.
