Student RSVP: COM Class of 2025 Match Day Ceremony

Hello Class of 2025!

You and your guests are cordially invited to attend the Class of 2025 College of Medicine Match Day Ceremony, scheduled for Friday, March 21, at 11:30 a.m. in the NEOMED Education and Wellness (NEW) Center, Ballroom. The event will be in-person, allowing for student guests, faculty, and staff to attend. A livestream viewing option will also be available through Facebook Live (NEOMED Facebook Page) for those guests who are unable to come to campus. Your guests must have a Facebook Account in order to view the FB livestream.

Match Day timeline:

10:30 AM: Ballroom doors open. There are no assigned seats or tickets, but plenty of room for all! Overflow seating available in Cook Alumni Hall where the ceremony livestream will be playing.

11:00 AM: Students check in at the registration table and pick up an index card with their name, door number and table number for envelope pick up at noon.

11:30 AM: Welcome from Deans, NSC officer announcements, charity donation collection, (NEW Center Ballroom)

11:55 AM: Students assemble outside of NEW Center Rooms. Guests remain in ballroom. COM Deans will start countdown to 12:00 p.m.  

12:00 PM: NEW Center Room doors open, envelopes are on tables. Students pick up their envelope and go back to ballroom (or wherever they choose) to open envelopes with their guests.

12-12:15 PM: Students place their index card in the gold drum on stage if they choose to read their matches on stage.

12:20 PM: First student name is pulled, student’s individual song plays as they come up to stage. The last student name/card to be pulled will win ½ of the proceeds from the charity donation collection. The other half of the proceeds will be donated to the charity designated by the class.

1:30/2:00 PM: Reception on the first-floor atrium with appetizers.

Attire: Professional Dress is encouraged.

The ceremony is not a ticketed event, however we need you to inform us of your guest count for food purposes.
