Suicide prevention: Building a campus-community ready to respond
The Ohio Program for Campus Safety and Mental Health invites you to join them for the first webinar of the 2026-2027 Webinar Series!
In recognition of September as Suicide Prevention Month, join us for a panel discussion from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29 via Zoom. The session will explore how mental health and suicide prevention trainings can help create campus-communities that are prepared to recognize concerns, respond to students and colleagues, and connect individuals to support. While trainings such as Mental Health First Aid and QPR (Question Persuade Refer) can provide participants with important knowledge and skills, their impact can extend well beyond the training itself.
Expert panelists will share their experiences developing and implementing training initiatives, including what makes these efforts effective, how they can be sustained and how training can translate into meaningful action. Participants will leave with greater insight into how training can contribute to a culture of preparedness, connection and suicide prevention across campus-communities.
