Urban Health Providers Panel, Nov. 6

The Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) together with the Black Student Association (BSA), Student National Medical Association (SNMA), and Urban Health Interest Group would like to invite you to come listen to and ask questions to physicians and pharmacists practicing in urban environments. 

These are the providers joining us:

  1. Dr. Carl Allamby, a recent NEOMED graduate and EM resident at Akron General. He has been featured on CBS and NPR News, as well as on the AAMC website. 
  2. Dr. Javier Calderon, an infectious disease physician, who received his medical degree in Peru and has been in practice for more than twenty years.
  3. Dr. Omar Gutierrez, an internal medicine resident at Cleveland Clinic, who received his medical degree from Harvard and is passionate about serving underserved communities in Cleveland. 
  4. Dr. Moses Oyewumi, associate professor and interim chair at the NEOMED Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, who earned his Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky, completed post-doctoral trainings at the University of Kentucky and at the University of Iowa.
