Veteran Pilot Will Speak at National Public Health Week Kickoff, March 31

National Public Health Week will kick off with speaker Joe Sepesy, author of "Once We Flew: The Memoir of a U.S. Army Helicopter Pilot in Vietnam and a Life with PTSD."

Sepesy will speak at noon, Friday, March 31 in Watanakunakorn Auditorium.

Sepesy will discuss his experiences from battlefields to ballrooms, from pain and PTSD to American smooth and Latin rhythm. Sepesy was inducted into the Ohio Military Hall of Fame for Valor in 2003 and has published nine books.

Youngstown Blue Coats will also be accepting cash donations, as well as new or gently used coats, winter hats, blankets, tarps, tents, gloves, sleeping bags, boots, mittens and new socks for distribution to homeless veterans.

Snacks will be provided, and guests are welcome to bring their lunch. No registration is required.
