Volunteering is a way to inspire, recognize and encourage people to seek out ways to engage with a greater cause. In an effort to give back to our local communities, NEOMED is participating in Make a Difference Day on Saturday October 26, 2019. Students, faculty, and staff will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of community service projects during the day throughout Northeast Ohio.
Make a Difference Day is a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors started by USA WEEKEND Magazine, in collaboration with Points of Light, more than 20 years ago. Millions of volunteers from across the nation will unite in a common mission to improve the lives of others.
WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 26
WHERE: Participating sites include the Habitat for Humanity Portage County, the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley, Paws and Prayers Pet Rescue, Hattie Larlham, Summa Health, and University Hospitals.
If you are interested in volunteering, sign up by Friday Oct. 18!
We look forward to seeing you there!
