Walk – Or Wag! – YOUR Way, Oct. 16

The NEOMED Walking Whales will be participating in the 19th annual National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Walk on Saturday, Oct. 16. Join your fellow NEOMED community – including the Psychiatry Student Interest Group – and show your support for mental health awareness and advocacy.

You can *Walk* YOUR Way at the University of Akron. But did you know that you can *wag* your way with your furry best friend by participating virtually?

Join the NEOMED Walking Whales team on Zoom from 9:15-9:30 a.m. on Oct. 16.

RSVP to Dr. Hupp (dhupp@neomed.edu) or Dr. Bonfine (nbonfine@neomed.edu) for the Zoom link to participate virtually.

All funds raised will go to NAMI Summit County to provide support, education, and advocacy to people with serious mental illness and their families.

Remember to stop by the Department of Psychiatry (B227) and let us know “Why I walk…” Feel free to leave a penny or two – any spare change will do! All proceeds support the NEOMED Walking Whales team at this year’s Summit County NAMI Walk.
