Members of the NEOMED community came together on Zoom Thursday, June 11, for a forum titled Stand Up and Fight for the Safety and Wellness of our Diverse Community, introduced by NEOMED’s president, John T. Langell, M.D., Ph.D.
The forum was designed not only to engage participants in honest conversations about racism, but also to establish purposeful actions that can bring positive change to all systems that play a role in the racist activities and negative interactions that many black and brown people encounter.
As members of the community took turns speaking candidly on screen, others in the Zoom audience participated via the Zoom chat to share resources, recommended readings and podcasts with each other. Some of the resources shared include:
