The American Pharmacist’s Association (APhA) is holding a "goods drive" to help Haven of Rest in Akron obtain items that they desperately need.
The items needed most are:
- Underwear (men’s, women's and kids’)
- Socks (again men’s, women's and kids’)
- Undershirts and other undergarments
- Kids’ diapers (size 3 and above) and pull-ups
These items are utilized on a daily basis for those in need, and are always in very short supply.
APhA will be placing boxes outside of Watanakunakorn Auditorium, near Liebelt hall and in the NEW Center Atrium. Donations can be left in one of those boxes at any time beginning October 15, and will be checked daily. Donations may also be given to Rachel Johnson (P3) or left with Dan Krinsky, R.Ph., professor of pharmacy practice in Room E-23. Monetary donation toward the purchase of needed items is also welcomed!
