It is with great pleasure that the department of Campus Operations announces the promotion of Dennis (Skip) Barnes to assistant director of campus operations. Skip began his NEOMED career in 1993 as the auto mechanic. He transferred to a maintenance repair worker position in 1994 and became the lead maintenance repair worker in 2015.
Besides overseeing the day-to-day operations of the University, Skip is tasked with teaching and transferring his 27 years of NEOMED knowledge to the maintenance repair workers on a daily basis. He has been an integral part of hiring and training some of the best maintenance personnel this area offers and is one of the most conscientious people at NEOMED.
Skip has a reputation for always delivering great results when it comes to emergency responses, problem solving, environmental comfort and office moves, as well as for being very positive in his day-to-day duties. Please reach out to Skip and welcome him on this promotion.
