AuBree LaForce Appointed as a Student Delegate to the American Medical Association

Congratulations are in order for AuBree LaForce! The third-year College of Medicine student was recently appointed as a Student Delegate to American Medical Association-Medical Student Section to AMA interim and annual meetings. The next meeting is in San Diego in November.

LaForce, a member of NEOMED’s Rural Medicine Pathway, has been invited to represent NEOMED and American Academy of Family Physicians student interest groups from across the country.

“I am so excited and humbled for the opportunity to not only represent NEOMED, but to be the voice for all students in AAFP. As the student representative of AAFP to AMA-MSS, I will strive to be an advocate and positive representation of my peers from NEOMED, from the OAFP and from the AAFP.

“My passion for family medicine and advocacy runs deep and I am ready to accelerate change for AAFP at a national level. The best outcomes have been the result of collaboration, positive advocacy and passionate people. Now more than ever, student’s voices are being heard and I am eager for the opportunity to represent the student’s interest of AAFP at AMA meetings. I can’t wait to see what this year brings,” says LaForce.
