Pick a student organization — or two, or three. That was the challenge — a good one! — for students attending the Student Organizations Fair last Thursday. NEOMED offers 80 student organizations this year. At tables lining the walkway from the NEW Center to The Village, students could find a group for them — whether it was a new organization, like Students for Medical Missions Services, or the well-established SOAR and its interprofessional student-run free clinic, which has been such a success in the community.
Students staffing the tables had long lists of interested participants to show for their efforts by the end of the evening. More information about student organizations is available at Presence. And as always, if students have ideas for another group, they can look into the process of forming a new one, through the student governing bodies and Student Affairs.
Everyone is welcome to submit information about their upcoming events, and to reflect on them afterward, in The Pulse. Here’s how to submit articles to The Pulse.
